Court Attendance

On April 20, 2023, we visited the Justice of the Peace in the canton of Hamme, Danny De Schepper. Beforehand, we had the opportunity to discuss with the Justice of the Peace the cases that would be addressed during the session.

During the session, rental disputes were the main focus, but other topics such as overdue payments, rights of way, and property issues for individuals with social housing in Belgium and a home abroad were also covered. Everything ran smoothly since the lawyers only needed to present their documents to the justice of the peace.

Afterward, Justice of the Peace spoke about a presentation titled "The Surveyor as the Justice of the Peace’s Right Hand." He later sent it to us, which was a valuable addition to this interesting and educational experience.
