Project Ruimtelijke ontwikkeling
During semester 4 (2024), I worked with three other students on a project to design a residential subdivision on a chosen site. The project covered all the steps a surveyor undertakes in such a process, from analysis to execution.
The assignment consisted of various tasks: analyzing the site, surveying the existing situation using techniques such as polygonation, GNSS measurements, and detail measurements, designing the subdivision, applying for an environmental permit, conducting a feasibility study, and creating a 3D representation or model.
This project was an educational experience that provided a comprehensive understanding of the steps involved in a subdivision project. I learned the importance of precise measurement and analysis, as well as creativity and practicality in design. Additionally, I improved my knowledge of administrative processes, such as applying for permits. The project gave me a clearer view of the surveyor’s role in such projects.
